Biography

Katie is a final year paediatric trainee with a special interest in Neurodisability. She has a Master's in Clinical Education through the University of Galway and is currently completing a Diploma in Paediatric Neurodisability through Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust. Her current role involves writing a National Model of Care for Cerebral Palsy across the Lifespan.

The National Model of Care for Cerebral Palsy will provide a strategic clinical and operational framework for CP services in Ireland. It will describe adaptable pathways of care that maximise the use of existing structures, the enhancement of current services, and new service requirements. It will also outline integrated working across services and person-centred care to reach the outcomes that are most important for each individual.
