Third and fourth year medical students are 'attached' to the Discipline in St. James's Hospital, Dublin 8 and at Tallaght University Hospital, Dublin 24

In third year, students have to present an "evidence based" project. A comprehensive course of lectures, tutorials and seminars is also given to third year medical students as part of the Pathology Course. Bi-weekly tutorials in Haematology are held in the Final Medical year. An e-module in Blood Transfusion will be manidatory prior to graduation.

Lectures are also given to Nurses, Pharmacists, and MSc students in Molecular Medicine and Molecular Pathology. The discipline delivers and examines the MSc in Molecular Pathology in DIT in Kevin Street.
