Our Research

The discipline's research interests incorporate applied and aetiological epidemiology, clinical trials, survivorship and laboratory-based studies exploring the pathogenesis of pregnancy-related disorders, cancer associated thrombosis and benign and malignant gynaecological disease. We are externally funded by the Health Research Board, the Higher Education Authority, the Emer Casey Foundation, SOCK, the Royal City of Dublin Hospital Trust Fund, the Health Service Executive and Hospital-based charities at The Coombe Women and Infant's University Hospital and the Rotunda Hospital. Central to our research is the patient voice, and a number of public and patient involvement (PPI) initiatives are underway in the group.
