Biography

Dr Alwyn Charles is a final-year Paediatric Specialist Registrar and Neurodisability Transition Research Fellow based in CHI Tallaght. She is currently undertaking an MD at Trinity College Dublin, focusing on healthcare transition for young people with physical disabilities as they move from paediatric to adult services. She is also completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Paediatric Neurodisability through the University of Sheffield.

Her research explores the experiences of healthcare professionals across primary, paediatric and adult care settings, with the aim of identifying barriers and developing practical solutions to improve continuity of care for this cohort.
