Biography
Ailbhe is a Specialist Registrar in General Paediatrics with an interest in neurology and neurodisability. Ailbhe graduated with a Bachelor’s of Medicine from University of Galway, graduating in 2018. She commenced paediatric training in 2021 after spending two years working in Perth Children’s Hospital, Australia. Ailbhe’s clinical experience spans general paediatrics, neonatology, neurology and community child health.
Alongside clinical training, she is completing a PhD with Trinity College Dublin, focused on improving outcomes for children and adults with cerebral palsy. Ailbhe’s research aims to improve quality of life for all patients with cerebral palsy, with an emphasis on translating research findings into meaningful clinical practice.
Ailbhe strives to contribute to research that informs policy, enhances multidisciplinary care, and improves the lived experience of children and families throughout Ireland.
