Biography

Prior to commencing my PhD research, I graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2011 with a first-class honour in medicinal chemistry, followed by a second-class honour in medicine from University College Dublin in 2015. Since then, I have spent approximately 7 years in clinical practice throughout Ireland, as well as 2 years in Australia. I have also worked in education for the last two years, taking on a role as a lecturer registrar with Trinity College School of Medicine. During this time I also began my PhD research which aims to focus on the differences in immune function in children with Down Syndrome.  Aside from my professional background, I currently live in Dublin with my wife and daughter, as well as our dog Arlo. I enjoy hiking and am a keen scuba diver, and in my spare time I like to catch up with friends and spend time with my family.
