The research project, ‘Evidence for Children’s Palliative Care in Ireland’ (ECHPI)’, led by Primary Investigator, CHPM’s Dr Samanth Smith, launched on 21 May in Regent House. The event was opened by Professor Susan Smith, head of the Discipline of Public Health and Primary Care, and featured keynote speaker, Dr Gráinne Gorman, Chief Executive at the HRB. The research team included parents of children with life-limiting conditions, planners, providers, and children’s palliative care policymakers alongside health researchers.
