Welcome to our Patient and Public Involvement Group: PACT@tcd
Who are we?
Our group is PACT@tcd, which stands for Patient And Clinicians Together in Radiation Oncology with Trinity College Dublin. We are a community that brings together people who have experience with cancer and radiation therapy—patients, family, friends, and carers and those working in radiation therapy.
What we want to do?
We want to use our shared experiences to help make a better, more supported radiation therapy journey for patients, family members and carers. We also want your help to make our teaching and research better.
How could I help?
There are lots of simple ways you can get involved. Taking part could be as easy as sharing your experience and talking with us online or in person or by phone. You don’t have to write anything or attend meetings unless you want to. If you feel comfortable, you might also help us review patient information leaflets, read through documents and tell us what you think, or help with a short survey.
You can choose what feels right for you. Whether you share a few thoughts in a conversation or take part in a small project, every contribution makes a difference.
How can I volunteer?
We would love to hear from you. You do not need to be an expert or have done anything like this before—your voice and experience are very important to us.
If you want to know more or get involved, please contact us, Claire Poole and Laura Mullaney at RadiationTherapyPPI@tcd.ie or on 018962973.
We would love to hear from you. Further information is available here: PACT@tcd Volunteering information leaflet

Patient Voices is a project where our PACT@TCD patients share their own stories about having radiation therapy.
The stories are shared through videos and podcasts.
Everyone's story is different depending on when and where they had radiation therapy. Your experience may be different from theirs.
