Biography
Eilish is a CORU registered occupational therapist, and currently works as a Regional Placement Facilitator in the Discipline of Occupational Therapy in Trinity College Dublin. Since qualifying as an occupational therapist from Trinity College Dublin, Eilish has worked in a variety of services supporting children and adults with disabilities across the lifespan. Eilish previously worked as Practice Tutor, and has contributed to a variety of modules on the undergraduate occupational therapy programme in Trinity College dublin since 2021. Eilish holds a Masters by Research from Trinity College Dublin, and is currently undertaking a PhD examining sensory processing amongst older adults with intellectual disabilities. Her primary research interest areas pertain to intellectual disability and ageing, sensory processing, transition to adulthood, and inclusive education opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Research Expertise
My current research interests relate to intellectual disability and ageing, transition to adulthood for people with intellectual disabilities, and inclusive education opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities. I am also interested in civic engaged teaching and learning, and I am currently involved in the Supported Volunteering: Working Together, Learning Together' project.
