Professor Sara Burke has been invited to be an ‘expert to the panel’ to lead the work assigned as section 2A by the Department of An Taoiseach’s official Covid 19 evaluation panel. The panel is chaired by Professor Anne Scott. Work package 2A is an assessment of the overall performance of the health and social care system. Assisting Sara Burke will be researchers Dr Charlotte Myers and Veroncia Segerstrom. Professors Noel McCarthy and Steve Thomas are supporting in a senior advisory capacity.
The COVID-19 Evaluation is an independent non-statutory entity. The output will be a comprehensive report in late 2026 detailing the research conducted under the four work packages, as per the Terms of Reference.
