Biography

Always interested in working and researching in high acuity settings, Sara worked as an Occupational Therapist in the US Army before turning her experience to working the neonatal intensive care unit in the USA. Her years of experience working in this setting lead to the exciting opportunity to start a program of occupational therapy in the neonatal unit of an Irish maternity hospital. Her current research explores the experiences of infants and families in this setting, and the neurodevelopmental impacts of this type of care.
