Gloria Malandra
Disability Officer
Gloria Malandra is a Disability Officer with the Trinity College Dublin disAbility Service, which she joined in September 2026. She works collaboratively with students to implement reasonable accommodations tailored to their individual needs and delivers information sessions and regular check-ins to ensure that supports are effective, sustainable, and responsive to students' experiences.
Gloria holds a BA in Philosophy from Sapienza University of Rome, where her research focused on ethics and bioethics, with particular attention to the ethical implications of legal and psychiatric responses to major depressive disorder. She subsequently completed an MA in Philosophy and Public Affairs at University College Dublin, researching criminal law defences in cases of domestic violence through intersectional perspectives on gender, class, racism, and disability.
Alongside her role in the Disability Service, Gloria is actively engaged in academic research on equality policy, law, intersectionality, and decolonial feminism, and has presented her work at institutions including the London School of Economics, Central European University Vienna, and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
Outside of her professional and academic work, Gloria loves culture and the arts. She has a particular passion for circular fashion, upcycling, and sewing, holds a diploma in film and video production, will happily turn anything into a collage, and is always delighted to talk about craft.
