
Fionn joined the disAbility Service in Summer 2024. He completed his undergraduate at Trinity in Biological and Biomedical Sciences in 2022, majoring in Neuroscience with a thesis on aphantasia, before pursuing an interdisciplinary masters by research in philosophy of neuroscience, with a critical focus on theories of memory, followed by a second MSc in Applied Social Data Science.
Enabling students to engage fully with their degrees, develop ideas and present their work has always been important for Fionn. Prior to joining the disAbility Service, Fionn worked as an Academic Writing Tutor with Student Learning Development (SLD) and as a Teaching Assistant in Trinity. Outside of education, he is passionate about all things writing, from creative fiction and poetry to writing non-fiction essays at his blog.
Fionn’s love of writing and communicating ideas, his experiences studying and supporting learning in variety of areas, all inform his role at the disAbility Service enabling students in navigating the academic learning dimensions of university life.
