Biography

Stacey Daly is a Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist at St. James’s Hospital Dublin. Stacey holds a BSc and MSc in Speech and Language Therapy. Her clinical expertise and research focus span across palliative care and are more specifically in cancer care, progressive neurological illness, and dysphagia. Stacey is currently undertaking a PhD study using qualitative methods to explore the mealtime experience for family carers of people with motor neurone disease and to identify strategies to assist the family caregiver in their caregiving role in the context of the challenges associated with dysphagia in motor neurone disease. Dr Geraldine Foley is co-supervising Stacey on her PhD with Associate Professor Caroline Jagoe in the Department of Clinical Speech and Language Studies at Trinity College.
