Peer Groups

Trinity disAbility Service will run peer support groups in the academic year 2025-2026. We are currently recruiting peer co-facilitators for three of these groups.

Autistic Peer Group

The Disability Service runs a weekly drop-in group for Autistic students throughout the academic year. This group is open to all students who feel they may benefit from attending, including those engaging with the Disability Service with an existing diagnosis of Autism, as well as those not connected to the Disability Service who identify as Autistic/neurodivergent.  

The group co-facilitator role consists of assisting the group facilitation lead to deliver group meetings. The group co-facilitator will assist with providing a structure to group meetings, support the management of group discussion and encourage the participation of all group members. 

The group facilitator will receive training as well as ongoing supervision and support through the Disability Service.

ADHD Peer Group

The Disability Service runs an ADHD peer support group for students. This group will take place on a weekly basis for the duration of the academic year and will be open to all students who feel they may benefit from attending, including those engaging with the Disability Service with an existing diagnosis of ADHD, as well as those not connected to the Disability Service who may be seeking diagnosis or who suspect they may have ADHD. 

The group facilitator role consists of responsibility for leading peer group meetings. The group facilitator will provide a structure to group meetings, assist with the management of group discussion and encourage the participation of all group members. 

The group facilitator will receive training as well as ongoing supervision and support through the Disability Service.

Queer Disabled Peer Group

The Disability Service is recruiting a student facilitator for its Queer Disabled Peer Support Group. This group will take place every two weeks for the duration of the academic year and will be open to all students who feel they may benefit from attending, including those engaging with the Disability Service, as well as those not connected to the Disability Service.

The group facilitator will have responsibility for co-leading peer group meetings alongside a member of staff from the disAbility Service. The group facilitator will help provide a structure to group meetings, assist with the management of group discussion and encourage the participation of all group members.

The group facilitator will receive training as well as ongoing supervision and support through the Disability Service.
