Finding Funding Opportunities
The School of Physics supports researchers at all career stages to identify suitable national, European and international funding opportunities aligned with their research goals. We monitor major funders (Research Ireland (RI), Enterprise Ireland (EI), Higher Education Authority (HEA), Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), UK Research and Innovation (e.g. RI-EPSRC), European Commission (EC), European Research Council (ERC) and others) and highlight calls of strategic relevance to our research community.
- Regular funding alerts targeted to Physics disciplines and career stage.
- One‑to‑one consultations to map your ideas onto specific schemes.
- Guidance on eligibility, budget scale, and typical success rates.
- Signposting to central Trinity supports, including the Trinity Research Development Office and Graduate Studies for studentships and fellowships.
Researchers can also explore live calls and internal schemes through Trinity’s research support pages and funder portals, with our team available to help interpret guidance and timelines.
