My research is focusing on using phononic excitation to remotely control optically active artificial atoms and stimulate single-photon emission in layered Van der Waals materials. Specifically, I am looking at hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) with atomic defects and how phonon-assisted excitation can regulate the photoluminescence spectra in individual color centres.

Research Interests:
● Phonon control in quantum materials
● Optically active artificial atoms

  • Single-photon emission
