Welcome to our group site

The group's research interests are in Optical Communications, Nanophotonics and Integrated Photonics. Our optical communications research is primarily focused in single mode and widely tunable lasers based on slotted surface gratings along with monolithic integration of amplifiers and modulators. A new theme is in comb generation with high Q- resonators. Our Nanophotonics Research is in four areas: Photonic devices for Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording, Degradation dynamics of nanoscale Au plasmonic devices, epsilon-near-zero materials and the fabrication of single crystal perovskite nanosheets.
