Postdoctoral position: 3D ceramic printing of RF components.

We are inviting applicants for an SFI industry fellowship position between CONNECT research centre and Nokia Bell Labs Ireland. The application is due at the end of August and if successful the position would likely start in January 2020. The postdoc would be hosted in the School of Physics in Trinity College Dublin with the group of Prof. David McCloskey. The project is for one year and will focus on developing broadband ceramic Luneburg lenses using 3D ceramic printing. The project is in collaboration with Nokia Bell Labs and the candidate will be required to work on site in Trinity College, and also spend time measuring samples in Nokia Bell Labs campus in Blanchardstown.

This work builds on an ongoing collaboration and will develop further prototype designs to examine compatibility with Nokia 5G technology. Candidate should hold a PhD in a relevant area, (Physics, Materials science, Electronic Engineering). Ideally candidate should have a background in RF design and be familiar with software such as CST microwave studio.

The start date can be between 1/01/2020 and 1/4/2020 and the candidate will be remunerated at the recommended SFI salary scale commensurate with their experience. Please send a CV to: mccloskd@tcd.ie.
