Research Ireland Investigators Programme 2027
The Investigators Call supports research and innovation in all disciplines and interdisciplinary projects. A primary objective is to enable excellent researchers to undertake cutting-edge research to push the boundaries of knowledge. According to the Research Ireland Programme Plan 2026 the Investigators Programme 2027 will launch in December 2026.
The full details (including eligibility) of the Call are not yet published. However, we envisage it will be similar to the 2025 Programme here. For the last round, applicants must have held a PhD or equivalent qualification for at least three years by proposal submission and be considered independent researchers. Postdocs were not eligible. Applicants could request up to a maximum of €625K in total direct costs.
As per the last round, we expect the call will be very heavily subscribed. We would therefore like to gauge interest early and prepare suitable supports for applicants.
