Horizon Europe Pillar 2: New Enterprise Ireland Grant for Work Package Leaders
Work Package Leaders in Horizon Europe Pillar 2 proposals are now eligible to apply for an Enterprise Ireland Horizon Europe Support Grant for a trial period up until the end of 2026, up to a max €6,250 (incl. VAT). This new funding complements the pre-existing EI HEU Coordinator Support grants (for coordinators, €12,500), and EI travel grants for those partnering on consortia (€3,000).
This new grant applies across the six clusters under Pillar 2:
- Health
- Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society
- Civil Security for Society
- Digital, Industry and Space
- Climate, Energy and Mobility
- Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment.
Eligible costs include travel costs, Research/Administrative Support and/or replacement teaching expenses, and consultancy/professional services.
The deadline to apply for EI funding is 10 weeks before the Horizon Europe deadline.
Please note that only one grant per institution per project is permitted. Therefore, institutions may not submit applications for both Coordinator Support and Work Package Leader Support for the same project where the researchers are based at the same organisation.
