The event brought together leading voices from industry and government to explore the evolving energy landscape in Ireland and beyond. With a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and international collaboration, the seminar provided a platform for students to engage with experts, exchange ideas, and build networks in the field of energy storage and science.

Attendees heard from a dynamic lineup of speakers representing ESB Networks, KEO International Consultants, SEAI, EPA, Electroroute, NEG8 Carbon, Eaton and Clarke Energy, EirGrid, and Statkraft. Topics ranged from large-scale solar PV and carbon capture technologies to hydrogen, biofuel generation, and electric interconnector grid projects. Discussions also covered energy trading trends, environmental challenges, and whole building life cycle carbon assessments.

A highlight of the day was the presentation of 28 cutting-edge research projects by Energy Science students, showcasing the depth and diversity of work being undertaken in the programme.

Congratulations to Anna Horvath, winner of the prestigious KEO Energy Sustainability Research Award, for her outstanding contribution to the field. Her work exemplifies the spirit of innovation and commitment to sustainability that the seminar aims to foster.

The Energy Science 2025 Seminar continues to be a cornerstone event for Trinity College Dublin, reinforcing its leadership in energy research and education.
