The EC mERCury project is organising a free webinar, entitled “Towards an ERC Advanced Grant: from groundbreaking idea to successful proposal”, to support researchers at an advanced stage of their career who are considering an ERC Advanced Grant application. It will provide participants with a clear overview of what is expected in a competitive proposal, from the development of a truly groundbreaking research idea to a deeper understanding of the ERC evaluation process.
The programme will include:
- insights into the ERC’s approach to frontier research,
- a dedicated session on the evaluation and selection process, and
- testimonials and perspectives from ERC Advanced Grant holders across the SH, PE and LS domains, with contributions from ERC Scientific Officers and ERC Panel Members.
The webinar will take place online on 29 April 2026, starting at 10:00 (Brussels time), and will be structured into three sessions. The detailed agenda will be shared shortly.
