Nigel received a M.Sc. in Bioengineering from Trinity College Dublin in 2007. Ph.D. in Biomedical Physics Trinity College Dublin, 2018. Following a number of years working for the Hewlett Packard Corporation as a Product Engineer, currently working as an experimental officer in the School of Physics. The position encompasses Teaching, Management of research laboratories and research.Research work includes, Research work include:
- Detection of single and multi-segmented magnetic nanowires using yoke-shaped GMR sensors and TMR magnetic tunnel junction sensors integrated into a microfluidic channels.
- Detection of neuron network response when subjected to pulse magnetic fields.
