How to install Microsoft 365 Apps

Trinity staff and students can install Microsoft 365 Apps on up to five computers. Applications that are installed include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Teams and OneDrive. Under the Microsoft 365 Apps licence, these applications are updated throughout the year meaning you always get the latest functionality and security updates.

To install Microsoft 365 Apps:

Step 1

Browse to http://office.tcd.ie.

Step 2

Login with your Trinity email address in the form username@tcd.ie, and your Trinity computer account password.

Step 3

Towards the top right of the screen choose Install apps. You will see two options:

'Microsoft 365 apps'

This is the option that will suit most people; this option will install the 64-bit version by default. However, if there are previous 32-bit Microsoft applications already installed then the 32-bit version of the Microsoft 365 applications will be installed.

'Other install options'

This option will allow you to choose between 64-bit and 32-bit installations of Microsoft 365 Apps.

You will also find a list of computers where Microsoft 365 Apps is installed under your username and you can choose to deactivate the Microsoft 365 Apps licence on any of those computers.
