Mozilla Firefox for macOS proxy settings

Specific web browser proxy settings are no longer required to access standard web pages. However, if you experience issues with web access then it is worth checking our recommended settings below.

  1. Launch Firefox
  2. From the main menu choose Firefox - Advanced
  3. Choose the 'Network' tab and click on 'Settings...'
  4. Choose 'No proxy' or 'Direct connection to the Internet'
  5. Click OK and Click OK once more
  6. Close down Firefox and restart it for the setting to take effect

Removal of old web browser proxy settings

  1. Launch Firefox
  2. From the main menu choose Firefox - Advanced
  3. Choose the 'Network' tab and click on 'Settings...'
  4. Choose 'Direct Connection to the Internet'
  5. Click OK and Click OK once more
  6. Close down Firefox and restart it for the setting to take effect
