Student Guide for Blackboard Tests
Submission Issues & Resetting Attempts: If you encounter any issues submitting or accessing a test, please contact your module instructors initially; IT Services cannot reset or allow additional submission attempts, as the module instructors manage the assessment settings. Module instructors can contact IT Services for advice on this process.
Some students may encounter issues when completing MCQs or Assignments using Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge web browsers. Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are recommended. Please refer to the supported browsers list for more information. Do not use the Blackboard app to take tests for credit, as not all question types are supported in the app.
New Feature: Focus state for tests and assignments (Students)
When students start a test or assignment, they automatically enter Focus Mode by hiding navigation elements and visual clutter. It doesn't alter how assessments function and are graded, and students can navigate away at any time - reducing distractions without locking them in.
