Trinity staff may create private mailing lists to facilitate their work as a member of staff of Trinity College.

The private mailing lists on are managed by dedicated Mailing List Manager (MLM) software. The main functions of the Mailing List Manager software are the automated processing of subscriptions and the distribution of messages.

Getting started

Each list will have one or two people responsible for the administration of the list. These people are the list owners. The list owner will see that the list runs smoothly, provide any necessary information files and answer questions from members. Some lists are open to anyone to subscribe to whereas others are 'closed', in which case the list owner will usually invite selected individuals to join the list and add them manually.
