Blackboard is Trinity's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
Students can use Blackboard to access lecture notes, online assignments and other activities.
Lecturers can use Blackboard to distribute learning material, communicate with their students, create online assessments and use integrated technologies such as Turnitin, Panopto and Collaborate.
Getting started
Blackboard can be accessed via mymodule.tcd.ie using your Trinity username and password.
Staff and students can visit the Help sections within Blackboard for guides on using Blackboard and related technologies such as Panopto, Turnitin and Collaborate.

Browser Support

Missing modules in TCD Blackboard?
If you find you are not enrolled to your modules in Blackboard, please check with your school office to ensure you are timetabled for the relevant modules. Modules need to be listed on a student's record in my.tcd.ie for them to be available in Blackboard (enrolments update overnight). Lecturers need to be timetabled to modules in CMIS (the college timetable system). Administrative staff can get enrolled to modules by completing the VLE Enrolment Form available on the managing Blackboard access and enrolment issues webpage.
All data in Blackboard is based on the college timetabling systems and information taken from student records on my.tcd.ie. For further information on access & enrolment please visit the IT Services website.

Having a technical issue?
Students who encounter an issue with an online assessment should contact their module instructors in the first instance as the module instructors control the assessment settings.
