Gradebook

The Gradebook in Blackboard Ultra is where you can view and mark submissions from students, including tests and assignments, and manage their grades. In previous versions of Blackboard, this was known as the Grade Centre.

Select To Do to view your action items, including items to mark and post (Release to Students).

Gradebook Settings Panel

Select Settings to customise your gradebook and upload or download marks. In the gradebook, select the settings icon to open the Gradebook Settings panel, where you can customise your gradebook and configure grading settings. Refer to Gradebook Settings for more information.

Search the gradebook

Use the search field in the gradebook to find a student, a markable item, or a submission by its receipt number. The keyword search in the grid view lets you search across the gradebook for student name, student ID, column (item) name, or category.

Filter the gradebook

Select the filter icon to open Filters and views. You can apply filters for students, groups, categories, types, and markable items.

Once you apply a filter, it appears as a removable chip next to the filter icon in the toolbar. Select the X on a chip to remove that filter without reopening the window. To clear everything at once, open Filters and Views and select Clear All.
