Update: 6th July 2023
This change has now been successfully applied and students and staff using MATLAB/MathWorks can now sign into MathWorks with their Trinity credentials.

The way you sign into MathWorks, the makers of MATLAB, is changing on Thursday 6th July 2023.
What’s changing?
At the moment, when Trinity users of MathWorks are accessing the MATLAB software, they are prompted to create a MathWorks account to use the software.
From 6th July, however, there is no longer a need to create a separate MathWorks account and users will be able to access the MATLAB software with their Trinity computer account username and password, similar to when accessing most Trinity online services such as Microsoft 365.
I have already created an account with MathWorks, can I still access MATLAB as normal from 6th July?
Trinity staff and students will continue to have access to MathWorks/MATLAB, however, after 6th July, you will be prompted to sign in with your Trinity computer account username and password. This means that when visiting www.mathworks.com and clicking on the link to sign into your account with your Trinity email address, you will be brought to the Microsoft 365 sign-in window. Once you sign in with your Trinity IT credentials, you will be able to access MATLAB and update or get a licence for the software.
