Which login option should I use at my.tcd.ie? 

 

Current students

Current students (you have completed registration) should use the 'Student and Staff Log In' button and sign in with their Trinity email address and password. 

  1. On the my.tcd.ie screen, click 'Student and Staff Log In' button
  2. You will then be brought to the standard Microsoft 365 login screen
  3. Follow the prompts on that page to log in. 


New students, alumni starting a new course, and students booking a graduation ceremony

  1. On the my.tcd.ie login page, select 'Other Users'
  2. If you know your password, sign in using your my.tcd.ie credentials
  3. If you have forgotten your password, select 'Forgotten your password?'
  4. On the 'Forgotten Password' screen:
    • For the 'Username' field, enter your Student ID number.
    • For the 'Surname' field. ensure you enter your surname exactly as it appears in your application.
    • For the 'Date of birth' field, enter your date of birth in the EU format (dd/mm/yyyy) and not the US format.
    • Click the 'Go' button.
  5. A password reset email will be sent to your registered email address. Follow the instructions in that email. 

Note: If your surname contains an apostrophe (for example, O'Neill or O'Kelly) and the password reset is unsuccessful, try entering your surname again using a space instead of the apostrophe (for example, O Neill or O Kelly).
