We are pleased to let you know that we have improved Trinity’s staff Wi-Fi service to make it simpler and faster to get connected.
What’s changing?
Until now, Trinity registered devices could only connect to the staff Wi-Fi service using the “TCDwireless” network.
From now on, staff can also connect to the service via the “TCDwifi” network. This network offers a more straightforward sign-in experience (than TCDwireless) with fewer steps to get connected.
What do I need to do?
If you are currently using TCDwireless, please switch to TCDwifi as soon as possible.
- When on campus, select TCDwifi from your available Wi-Fi networks.
- Connect using your Trinity IT username and password.
- Once connected to TCDwifi, go back to your list of available Wi-Fi networks, right-click TCDwireless and select Forget. This will prevent your device from automatically reconnecting to TCDwireless again.
While TCDwireless will continue to operate for the next few months, it will be phased out later this year. We encourage all staff to switch now to avoid any future disruption.
New device connections
Any new staff devices that register for connecting to the Trinity Wi-Fi network should use the TCDwifi network. These new devices will no longer be able to connect via TCDwireless.
