At Trinity, this month is an opportunity for both academic and administrative staff to strengthen their awareness of the threats we face and to gain practical knowledge that will help protect personal information, research, and University systems.
Cyber Security is not just a technical issue; it is part of everyone's role. By staying informed and alert each of us plays a part in keeping Trinity a safe and resilient place to work and study. Throughout October, we will be sharing resources, hosting an online event, and providing training opportunities all designed to support you.
This month, we'll focus on building awareness of common threats and safe practices, take a closer look at phishing techniques such as 'Attacker in the Middle' and Business Email Compromise, and host an online Cyber Security event with expert speakers including the University's Data Protection Officer. We'll finish the month with a profile of the Cyber Security Team, highlighting the people working every day to protect the University.
We encourage you to engage with the content and activities across the month. Completing your mandatory Cyber Security and Data Protection training, taking advantage of additional learning opportunities, and regularly visiting the Cyber Crime Watch Hub (CCWH) throughout the year are simple actions that can make a big difference.
