Copying and Printing
The printing, scanning and photocopying facilities in the College Libraries and computer rooms are managed by IT Services and the Library, and provided by Datapac. There are multi-function devices (MFDs) in the College Libraries and College computer rooms located throughout the campus, and in some off campus locations.
It is possible to print from any computer in the computer rooms to any of the Datapac MFDs, whether on or off campus, as printing from these computers works on a 'follow-me' system. This means that after you have sent a job to be printed, it will print out on whatever Datapac MFD you choose to release the job.
Note that in order to be able to use this service you must first credit your print account. If you need assistance with the service then please visit the TCD Print website.
Notice must be taken of copyright regulations in the Library when making any copies.
Information for Visiting Readers
In order to simplify printing and copying in the Library, the barcode number of cards issued to Visiting Readers for entry is now also used as the ID Code for the TCDPrint printing and copying account provided by Datapac. For security, a new PIN to access the account has been generated and sent to the e-mail address which was supplied when setting up a Guest TCDPrint printing and copying account. For reference, the barcode number (and new Datapac ID Code) was also included in the e-mail.
The PIN can be changed anytime at the TCDPrint website.
The barcode number and PIN will allow Visiting Readers to access their account online and are now to be used at the printers/copiers in the Library.
If you have questions about the transfer or the security of your account, please contact Datapac at email@example.com or 087-7380498 (Monday to Friday 10:00-13:00 and 14:00-16:00).
Printing UK eLD material
In most cases, you can print a portion of any work we have received under UK eLD. However, the process is substantially different to the standard way of printing on campus and the following guide should be used.
