Installation Details and Site Licence
Trinity College Dublin has a site licence for EndNote and current staff and students are permitted to install a copy of the software on both their personal and College-owned machines, with the proviso that copies must be removed when the user leaves College.
Download EndNote 20
You will need to enter your Trinity username (something like smithj99) and password when you click the links below.
Please read the instructions on the linked page. As well as the installation file you will need to download the separate "license.dat" file for the Windows version, available at the link above.
MACS - VERY IMPORTANT
If this is your first time installing EndNote on your Mac, after installing, create a new EndNote Library by going to the top bar and selecting File > New. Otherwise, it will appear EndNote isn't working... you'll just see that bar at the top.
Immediate download after logging-in with your Trinity credentials, licence information is embedded in the installation file.
Need access to the X9 versions? If you are in the middle of a course or programme, it may be better to stay with the version you currently have, rather than learning the new interface introduced with EN20. If you need to reinstall X9, here is X9 for Windows and X9 for Mac. You can also watch our video tutorial to installing and using X9.
