Applications have opened for the new Hilary and Galen Weston Foundation Scholarship, which aims to suport young people from under-represented socio-economic backgrounds in taking on Trinity Business School’s newly launched MSc in Responsible Business & Sustainability.

The one-year, full-time course will give students the understanding and skillset needed to meet the challenges of building a sustainable future for business and society. The Scholarship scheme aims to empower students to embark on a career in management or leadership positions with specific responsibilities for corporate social responsibility, corporate sustainability, environmental social governance, business and human rights, and climate action. 

The Scholarship covers full EU fees (€16,250) for the MSc programme as well as a monthly stipend of €1,515, covering a full academic year (Sept 2024 - June 2025).

Applications for the MSc Responsible Business & Sustainability need to be submitted through the regular Trinity postgraduate application portal by May 1st 2024.

Applicants need to meet the criteria of admission for the MSc in Responsible Business & Sustainability at Trinity Business School to be considered.

To apply for the scholarship, applicants should submit their CV to business.masters@tcd.ie, supporting documentation for eligibility, plus a report of no more than 1,000 words with details of:

  • how they meet the eligibility criteria for this scholarship,
  • how they have addressed challenges in their undergraduate studies (and at work, if applicable)
  • why they have chosen this particular MSc programme and
  • how it will contribute to their longer-term goals.

The deadline for scholarship applications is Wednesday May 1st 2024. Applicants will be provisionally informed if they have been successful by May 15th.
