Our personalities shape how we engage with the world around us

According to an European Commission EPALE blog by Patrick Phillips, Postgraduate Careers Consultant at Trinity Business School, understanding a person’s personality makes it easier to identify potential career paths that will best connect with their personality traits.
Patrick says, “Personality neuroscience has enormous potential for career counselling because if we can understand how an individual interprets the world, we can develop career counselling strategies to help them select a career that will best align with their personality. Expert career counselling requires strategies to help reduce subjectivity and personality neuroscience has the potential help with this.”
Patrick Phillips is one of a team of five career consultants providing an excellent careers counselling to our MBA, PhD, and MSc students. Patrick specialises in helping students to reach their careers ambitions by aligning their personalities, interests and skills with their careers.
