Biography
Lisa Biermann is a PhD student at Trinity College Dublin, where she focuses on Sustainable Finance, particularly within Accounting. She holds a Master of Science in Finance, having graduated with First Class Honours from Trinity College Dublin. Her Master’s thesis centered on the strategic integration of ESG in finance and industry. Lisa also earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Studies with a specialisation in Finance and FinTech from EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Rech. Her thesis explored venture capitalist and entrepreneur relations from a principal-agent perspective.
Lisa has gained international experience through academic and professional engagements in Germany, Scotland, Canada, and Ireland. She spent time abroad at Brock University in Ontario and completed her A-Levels at Strathallan School in Scotland. Professionally, Lisa has experience in the auditing sector, having worked as a working student and intern at KPMG Germany. Prior to that she held a working student position in marketing and controlling role at Athera GmbH.
