MSc in Business Analytics & AI for Management
Programme Overview
The MSc in Business Analytics and AI for Management brings together technical capability, business acumen and advanced problem-solving. The programme equips students with the analytical and strategic expertise needed to work with data, apply advanced analytics and use AI tools to support managerial decision-making.
Running since 2021 as the MSc in Business Analytics, the programme has been renamed and refreshed for the 2026 intake. It now includes new AI-focused content and new part-time study options, alongside the established full-time route.
This is a semi-technical programme. Students build practical capabilities across business analytics, programming, data management, machine learning, generative AI and AI deployment, using tools such as R, SQL and Python.
Students also explore the ethics, sustainability and strategy of AI in business, learning how analytics and AI can be applied responsibly to real organisational challenges.
Why AI?
AI is now central to how organisations use data, automate decisions, improve performance and build new business models. The programme reflects this shift through dedicated modules in Generative AI for Business, Business AI Deployment, Ethical and Sustainable Issues for Business AI, and Business and AI Strategy.
Recent research from Trinity College Dublin and Microsoft Ireland points to a widening AI maturity gap between organisations, underlining the need for graduates who can help businesses adopt AI in a practical, responsible and effective way.
