Biography

Eamonn O'Raghallaigh holds the post of Teaching Fellow at Trinity Business School delivering modules on the MSc in Digital Marketing Strategy and with Trinity Executive Education. Eamonn has over 10 years experience teaching at leading higher education institutions in both Ireland and Europe. Eamonn holds a PhD in Digital Marketing (TCD), MSc in Neuroscience (RCSI), MSc in Digital Marketing (UCD Smurfit) and undergraduate degrees in Pharmacology and E-Business. As both an industry practitioner and academic, Eamonn has a unique perspective and approach to teaching. In industry, Eamonn is Managing Director of Digital Strategy Consultants - a digital marketing consultancy based in Dublin and he assists organisations achieve their strategic goals through best practice research, strategy, planning and tactical implementation. Eamonn has over 20 years experience in digital marketing leadership and consultancy and works with many leading indigenous and multinational organisations. Eamonn's research interests are focused on the field of generative AI and specifically, how consumers and companies are adapting to technological advances in the field of AI and marketing in the SME & Tourism sectors

Research Expertise

Eamonn's research interests center on the adoption and integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) within both the tourism and hospitality sectors, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). His work explores the ethical considerations, strategic impacts, and practical applications of GAI across these industries. Key areas of focus include how GAI technologies influence customer engagement, operational efficiencies, and workforce dynamics. Dr. O'Raghallaigh is particularly interested in the balance between technological advancements and ethical imperatives, aiming to uncover how businesses can harness GAI to drive innovation while ensuring responsible use and meaningful human-AI collaboration.
