Biography
Shane Hayden-Smyth is a PhD Candidate (Scholar) and Adjunct Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management at Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin.
He has experience teaching at third-level educational institutions across Ireland including Trinity Business School and DCU Business School, and has held previous research roles in Trinity College Dublin, Hibernia College and Maynooth University. He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate modules focusing on Research Methods and Workplace Wellbeing.
Shane has vast industry experience in several sectors including but not limited to roles within the automotive, media and educational sectors. Shane holds a first-class BBS (Hons.) in Business Studies from Dublin City University, graduating at the top of his class. He also holds an MSc in Human Resource Management from Dublin City University. He received a scholarship to complete his PhD in Trinity Business School within the Organisational Behaviour, with his core research interests lying in the areas of Career Development, Occupational Health Psychology and Vocational Behaviour. He has presented his research at international conferences in these fields including the AOM Careers Division Conference (CarCon), European Association of
Occupational Health Psychology (EAOHP) Congress and the Academy of Management (AOM) Annual Meeting.
