Melda Hasiloglu-Ciftciler

Biography

Melda is currently pursuing her second PhD at Trinity Business School, focusing on green product launching strategies under externality and strategic consumers using game theory and analytical modelling techniques. She holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Eskisehir Technical University, where her thesis focused on dynamic inventory and pricing strategies for perishable products to minimize waste and maximize profit.

Melda has one publication in Computers & Industrial Engineering on price, service, and commission rate decisions in online sales made through e-commerce platforms. She has presented her work at top conferences such as EURO and POMS in 2024 and the EurOMA Doctoral Seminar in 2023.

In addition to her academic work, Melda has contributed as a research assistant on a project aimed at optimizing worker wellbeing, safety, productivity, and efficiency through innovative workplace concepts and technologies such as AI and machine learning.

She also has reviewing experience in Computers & Industrial Engineering and the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services.

Melda serves as a seminar leader and teaching assistant, contributing to undergraduate, MBA, and MSc modules and supervising MSc theses on topics such as sustainable supply chains.
