Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

Inspire Workplaces Counselling Services provide the University's EAP service. University staff and their immediate families (those living at home with them who are 18 years of age and older) can avail of up to 6 professional counselling sessions free of charge. For more complex issues such as trauma, an Inspire Case Manager will help you determine the best counselling options which can exceed 6 sessions. This is a strictly private and confidential service.

24 / 7 Helpline & Telephone Counselling Service

This facility is designed as a means for staff to resolve any personal or work related concerns, in confidence. Staff can receive immediate support, advice and information on a wide range of emotional, personal or work related issues. Telephone Counselling is available where practical and suitable to the issue. The number for this service is 1800 817 433.

Online Wellbeing Portal

The Inspire online Support Hub widens the support available to you as part of your Employee Assistance Programme. The Hub helps to provide the right help right now, giving you instant access to a range of information, guidance, screening and intervention tools tailored specifically to help care for your individual wellbeing needs.

With just a few simple steps you can create your personal profile and start using the EAP Inspire Support Hub:

  • Step One – Visit inspiresupporthub.org and on the homepage, click the "Sign Up" button in the menu
  • Step Two – Where prompted, enter Company pin (pin: TCDHUB)
  • Step Three – Sign up using your email address and create your password
  • Step Four – Submit Form to register

Face-to-Face Counselling

Counsellors are available to meet, face-to-face (where COVID-19 restrictions apply this may be over the phone or video), to confidentially discuss and help staff to resolve any workplace or personal issues they may encounter. Appointments are held at the counsellor's place of work which will be advised to staff when setting up an appointment.

Counselling appointments are available Monday to Friday, 8am to 10pm (last appointment at 9pm) and Saturday, 9am to 4pm in the greater Dublin area and beyond.
