New Staff Induction

All new staff are encouraged to attend the University's New Staff Induction. Details of upcoming sessions are available on the University's induction webpages.

Academic Staff Orientation

All new academic staff are expected to attend the Academic Staff Induction Programme.

Held annually in September, the programme is designed for academic staff who join the University between January and September. It provides a comprehensive introduction to the University and supports early integration across the three core dimensions of the academic role: Research, Teaching and Engagement.

The programme also introduces participants to the University's Strategic Plan and strategic priorities through presentations from senior leaders. It includes a welcome address from the Provost and a closing address from the Vice-Provost/Chief Academic Officer, along with sessions on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Global Engagement, Biodiversity and Climate Action, Library Services, Communications, and Research.
