Programme Overview

The MSc in Human Resource Management is designed for students from all disciplines who wish to build a career in people management and organisational development. The programme combines academic theory with practical, hands-on experience, equipping students with the skills to manage and lead in dynamic business environments. 

Delivered by a blend of academic experts and industry practitioners, the programme bridges research and real-world application.  Students get the opportunity work directly with leading organisations in Dublin, gaining valuable insight into how HR functions operate in practice. 

As a conversion programme, it is ideal for those without a background or prior experience in human resources. Students develop a solid understanding of HR principles and can tailor their learning through a research dissertation or a company-based project, applying theory to real organisational challenges.

Student Profile 

The MSc in Human Resource Management attracts students who are passionate about people and the future of work. While many come from business or management backgrounds, others join from fields such as hospitality, psychology, law, and communications. Applicants from all disciplines are welcome, and no prior HR experience is required.

Most students have up to two years of professional experience and are eager to formalise their knowledge to advance their careers. The programme’s broad curriculum allows them to explore all areas of HR before choosing a specialisation, while also examining emerging themes such as AI and the evolving workplace.
