Founded in 1774 and reestablished in 1936, the DU Fencing Club is the most successful fencing club in Ireland and one of the most successful sports clubs in Trinity, having maintained an undefeated Intervarsity run for the past 13 years.
DUFC offers students the chance to fence foil, épée and sabre. In recent years, DUFC has seen considerable success, achieving gold medals in the South of Ireland Open, Derry Open, Irish Open and Belfield Sabre. We cater to complete beginners, international fencers, wheelchair fencers and everything in between. Whether you’re completely new to the sport and are keen to try something new, or you’re an advanced fencer looking for international opportunities and expert coaching, our club has a place for you. Regardless of your level, DUFC offers a vibrant social scene for making life-long friends.
