Louise’s role involves leadership & oversight of academic, research and professional interests relating to general nursing within the School. Her own teaching & research interests include care of the older adult, dementia care and healthcare ethics.

Teaching & research interests include physical health & wellbeing in severe mental illness, clinical risk assessment and management, models of community mental healthcare.

Associate Professor in Intellectual Disability, his current research focus includes investigating the descriptive epidemiology of cancer in people with intellectual disability & cancer care inequalities that this population face in Ireland.

Director of Teaching & Learning, Undergraduate

Dr. de Vries graduated in Psychology at Utrecht University, Netherlands and completed his PhD in TCD in 1999. He is with the School since 2007.

Vivienne teaches and supervises across undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery programmes. Her specific research interests are in action research, women's health and maternity care.
