Professor Brian O'Connell, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Trinity College Dublin, presented the following awards to colleagues from the School of Nursing & Midwifery in recognition of their dedicated service and innovations.

Professional & Support Staff Award for Innovations with Impact

Rebecca Kelly, Project Officer, has shown exceptional creativity, technical skill, and strategic leadership in developing digital systems and tools that have transformed how research is supported and managed within the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Rebecca designed and implemented a centralised Research Support Hub on SharePoint to streamline access to essential research information, templates, funding resources, and processes.

Innovation in Teaching Award

Dr Sinead Impey, Clinical Tutor (Healthcare Informatics), received this award for her successful collaboration with Dr Jill Poots from the School of Psychology on a new e-learning module entitled: “Textclusion” in healthcare technology design: a critical yet under-explored gap in clinical and leadership education.”

Outstanding Contribution to Teaching in Professional Practice Award

Rachael Burgess, Clinical Nurse Manager 2 and Clinical Facilitator at our partner Tallaght University Hospital, received this award for her work in creating a safe, supportive ward environment that enables learners to bridge the theory–practice gap and gain meaningful insight into the realities of current nursing practice.
