AERG Seminar Series 2026:
The Arts Education Research Group (AERG) is delighted to present its 2026 Seminar Series, bringing together internationally recognised scholars whose work explores the transformative potential of arts and drama education in contemporary educational settings.
This series examines how arts-based pedagogies can foster equity, reflection, creativity, community engagement, and social change. Topics include anti-racist education through drama and the arts, narrative and reflective approaches to teacher identity and professional learning, and the role of arts-integrated curriculum in addressing climate resilience. Through a combination of research papers and interactive workshops, participants will engage with innovative methodologies and practical strategies for arts-based teaching, learning, and research.
Featuring contributions from Professor Rachael Jacobs (Western Sydney University), Professor Mindy Carter (McGill University), and Professor Katie Dawson (University of Texas at Austin), the series offers valuable opportunities for educators, researchers, students, and practitioners interested in the intersections of arts, education, social justice, and community wellbeing.
